<![CDATA[BRYSONROCKS.COM - Updates]]>Sun, 20 May 2012 10:13:46 -0800Weebly<![CDATA[Doing wonderful!!]]>Thu, 29 Sep 2011 06:01:01 -0800http://brysonrocks.com/2/post/2011/09/post-title-click-and-type-to-edit7.htmlHello all Bryson has been doing wonderful all his annual test came back normal except for his thyroid, his levels are too high so they started him on thyroid meds. We knew that this was just one of the many side effects that could happen due to radiation and chemo, he will most likely be on the rest of his life. He went to the orthopedic doctor several weeks ago and we will be getting his new braces tomorrow, the doctor is hoping this will help his feet so that in the future he may not need surgery.

All in all Bryson is the healthiest he can be and we are so thankful for it, he is talking more and more every single day loves going to daycare to be with all his friends and loves Uncle Dan's puppy that's half the reason he wants to go to Ma's house..lol. Life well seems normal for once in a long time, Bryson is doing those things that 2 years ago that i thought he would never get to do, watching him grow and see the world is one of my most favorite things ever to experience.

It's amazing to see how far he has come as well as Tim and I we have both changed for the better. Life is truly an amazing gift that we cherish every single day, not a day goes by that we don't think about what we have been through, what Bryson has been through and it will never be gone because Cancer is still here taking those away and changing lives every moment, every day. We hope and pray that one day it will be different where no one has to here that word.

One of our friend's Stephanie Porter who sells Scentsy put a Buddies for Bryson's Buddies drive, please check out the flyer below. You purchase a stuffed animal, send to Stephanie Porter's address and once the drive is over Tim, Bryson and I will deliver to a child on the cancer floor. Small gift that will make a child smile!!

I hope you all have a blessed day!!!

<![CDATA[A year post BMT in 12 days!!]]>Mon, 01 Aug 2011 00:00:00 -0800http://brysonrocks.com/2/post/2011/08/a-year-post-bmt-in-12-days.htmlSorry it has been awhile, seems that life has gotten in the way but in a very good way.Bryson is doing wonderful!! In 12 days it will be a year post BMT and words can't explain how blessed we are, he is the light in our lives and truly amazes us every single day!! He is going to daycare and learning so much, he loves being around kids his age you can truly see the happiness in his eyes and as his parents... that is the greatest gift you can give your child! We will be able to make a trip to DisneyWorld through Make-A-Wish and we are excited for Bryson and us to get away and enjoy ourselves.

Our lives have been very normal and we are happy to say that, will we ever be the same people NO will live ever be the way it was NO will we ever understand as to why this happen to Bryson NO but are we going to dwell on the fact that it has NO. We if anything else have learned that sometimes live isn't the easiest, so you have to hope and pray that you have more better days than you do bad. We are thankful for where we are in all this and we are more blessed with having those close that understand to some extent how life has been for us. We cherish every single moment with Bryson, he truly is our little hero.

Please say a prayer as we will be going this month for all testing and to get a BM aspiratation to make sure everything is still great!! We would also like for prayers to be said for these other kiddos that are still battling this horrible disease!!!

(Right now Brysonrocks.com is down but hopefully it will be back up again ASAP)

<![CDATA[Thankful!!]]>Fri, 25 Mar 2011 15:02:08 -0800http://brysonrocks.com/2/post/2011/03/thankful1.htmlWell since our last update Bryson has been doing so many wonderful things and we are so proud of him.

He knows his numbers mainly 1-10, his colors and he is starting to walk on his own still has to be initiated to do so but doing it and we are so very happy, we are hoping by June 4th his 3rd birthday he will be running around like crazy. His hair well he needs a hair cut, you look at him and would never believe what he has gone through. He is as happy as he can be and still the sweetest boy we know, think he gets that from me..lol.

We decided to by him an Ipad last month and he loves it so many educational games on there and he loves to play angry birds as does mama and daddy. He is so smart for his age not fully talking but enough to where we understand working with speech 2 a week for all that.

His counts have been wonderful and is still 100% donor, cant believe in August it will be a year since BMT. So amazing to see how much he has grown just in the past 3 months. We take ever single day as a blessing and live our lives one day at a time. That's the way we have to live and will continue no worries for tomorrow but taking in today's sunshine. He makes the day just by that smile he shows, I took a picture last night and he was grinning from ear to ear and Tim's mom commented that it looked as though his eyes were smiling too and I see that in the picture makes my heart smile, thank you grammie for sharing that.

We have lost 3 little friends of ours in the past month so if you could please pray for their families we would greatly appreciate it. Amber Sanchez, Michael Vega and Alana Sanchez . Young lives lost so young but will never be forgotten from our hearts. One day we will find a cure for this horrible disease. Please continue those prayers for Bryson and all these kids and adults battling this horrible disease.

Steph, Tim and Bryson

<![CDATA[Our little man!]]>Tue, 08 Feb 2011 17:41:07 -0800http://brysonrocks.com/2/post/2011/02/our-little-man.html On Saturday Feburary 12th will be 6 months post transplant, to say that Tim and I are happy would be an understatement...We are thankful, blessed and thank God every single day for Bryson. This kid has brought more joy to our lives than we could ever put into words. He literally is the sweetest little guy and some days I am in awe that, he is ours. I am way emotional over all this but in the best way possible. Bryson has been through so much in his short little life and as his parents it has not been easy watching him go through any of it. He truly is our little blessing and he has changed us, life is just that much sweeter knowing that he is here and to grow.

He has learned his colors, saying more words he definatley has no down to a T but says it in a sweet way you just have to hear it. His strength is getting better and better everyday. His hair well he has a full head, I added a pic that was taken in the clinic like 2 weeks ago.

He has changed into a little boy no longer looks like a baby, although he will forever be my baby. We are happy to see all that he has learned and all that he can do, truly amazes us daily. We thank you all for the continued prayers and support it means sooo soo much. Continue those prayers not only for Bryson but for many of these kids fighting this horrible disease.

With love,
Steph, Tim and Bryson

<![CDATA[Hello 2011!!!]]>Thu, 06 Jan 2011 00:00:00 -0800http://brysonrocks.com/2/post/2011/01/hello-2011.html I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas, we surley had a great one. Bryson got more than his fill of toys and he loves it all, although we are running out of room for it all he deserves it all and much more.

He has been doing wonderful with PT, OT and speech. He his talking and his vocabulary has expanded, we can finally understand what he wants and when he wants something he makes it known. Still not walking completley on his own but is getting better every single day. We can't wait for that to happen, he will be so happy and all over the place but he should be doing all that. We have had to start time out chair and he doesnt like it one bit but it seems to be helping only on day to, thanks for the input my WTE mommas. All his counts are doing great and they said that he won't need to have a BM aspirate, biopsy or LP until August unless there is a reason to, how awesome is that. Please continue those prayers that everything keeps going great!!

We are looking forward to the New Year, Bryson will be turning 3 this year, it brings tears to my eyes on how much he has grown feels just like yesterday he was being born. We have come along way in almost two years and it hasn't been easy but living each day to the fullest and not worrying about the future has helped. Waking up everyday, looking at Bryson as he sleeps or when he awakes us is the best little moments that we can ask for.

Hope that you all have a wonderful 2011, we thank each and everyone of you for all the continued prayers and support!!!

With Love,
Steph, Tim and Bryson

<![CDATA[Doing great!]]>Mon, 29 Nov 2010 00:00:00 -0800http://brysonrocks.com/2/post/2010/11/doing-great.html I sure hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, we sure did we had family in and all our nieces and nephews Bryson was in awe of the kids as they were with him. We were so very blessed to spend it with people we love, we were missing Tims side of the family but they know that we wish they were there.

Bryson had clinic today, the results came back NEGATIVE oh how very thankful we are to hear such great news. We also got him taken off another med so he is just down to 2 and then of course we got the PICC line taken out, cant wait to give him a good bath. Then we had to go to Cardiology for an echo, which means sedation and no food. He was tired by the time we got up there and was out with the sedation within 10 minutes. Then they informed us that we had a clinic visit with the heart doctor, so more waiting it was. Dr. Lam told us that he heart looked almost perfect, he was amazed to see it look so well, from 2 months ago. Such great news to hear, he will still stay on the heart medicine and then come back at 6 months time and see how much better its doing but overall it looks great.

We had a very long day but all the wonderful news that we were given makes up for it, we are so thankful and prayers really are something. THank you all for all the continued prayers and support, keep them coming!!

With love,
Steph Tim and Bry

<![CDATA[Thankful!]]>Tue, 23 Nov 2010 00:00:00 -0800http://brysonrocks.com/2/post/2010/11/thankful.html Bryson has hit 100+ post transplant, he had his bone marrow aspirate and biopsy, LP done yesterday now we just wait for the results and if they are good the line will come out next Wednesday. We are praying for the best results possible, so please pray with us as we wait.

Bryson has been changing so much, he is becoming a little man not so much baby but he will forever be my baby boy. He talks, says so many words speech will start next week, they said that he is actually doing pretty well considering all the set backs that he has had. He loves Toy Story 1, 2 and 3 oh and Cars cant get enough of either of them. His wallking has improved, still not fully on his own but cruises on everything and his transitions from sit to stand and turning is amazing to see just 2 short months ago he was scared. So hoping that not long before he takes off on his own and he soo deserves it. He is soo silly, he is a little sweetheart and then a total 2 year old all at once. I went back to work on Friday and it was hard to say the least but I have been busy so it helps. I will work 4 days a week for awhile and then pick back up when its time to. He has so far stayed home with dad while I have been at work and they both play and have fun, he enjoys his daddy time.

This Thanksgiving we are beyond thankful for all the help that we have recieved in order to be there for Bryson, it wouldn't have been possible and we love you all from the bottom of our hearts, one day we hope that we can help you all as much as you have all helped us. We are blessed to have Bryson doing as well as he is, to wake up every single morning and see the smile on your childs face gives us more hope than anything in the world. Thats all we want is for Bryson to suceed in this life and live it to the fullest become the best person that he can be, we just want what any other parent wants for their child!! God we thank you for being here through the times that we felt hope had left us, making us stronger and being by Brysons side every step of the way. In Gods name AMen

Thank you all for the prayers and continued support, keep them coming and may you all have a blessed Thanksgiving!!

With Love,
Steph, Tim and Bryson

<![CDATA[YAY!]]>Mon, 01 Nov 2010 00:00:00 -0800http://brysonrocks.com/2/post/2010/11/yay1.html Is happy to report that we are now down to 1 day a week for clinic and that the PICC line will be removed before Turkey Day. On his 100 day they will be doing another BM aspirate and LP, this has been planned since day one, after that we will get the line out. We are beyond happy to hear the great news and the docs are so glad to see how well he is doing. He is eating very well and as active as ever, definatley your average 2 year old we are, yes he can drive us crazy but like we tell everyone we are thankful that he is able to. He is stuck to my side like glue I cant use the bathroom without him throwing a fit and wanting in, if I want a nap by myself, nope that aint happening..LOL Not sure how this going back to work thing is gonna work and who its going to be harder on him or me, we shall see.

I want to thank my family for being there and allowing me and Tim to be able to be with Bryson through this process yes it has been hard to allow others to take care of what I am used to taking care of but I wouldn't have it any other way . Thank to my handful of friends who have been there for us it means so much to have people like you in our lives, I consider you all a part of my family now!! I love you all and will be forever grateful for all of it.

Please continue those prayers for Bryson as well as the others dealing with this disease and the effects that it causes, we are forver thankful for all the support and prayers thank you all!!

With love,
Stephanie, Tim and Bryson
